PulseMix’s very own Dean Wears made a heartfelt visit to the Kevin Keegan memorial outside St James’ Park this week, joining hundreds of supporters who continue to honour one of Newcastle United’s most iconic figures.
Dean, a lifelong Toon fan, spent time at the memorial reflecting on the legacy of the man who transformed the Magpies into the entertainers of English football. The memorial, now surrounded by black‑and‑white scarves, flowers, shirts and handwritten messages, has become a focal point for fans paying their respects.
Keegan, remembered not just for his managerial magic but for his connection with supporters, remains a towering figure in Newcastle’s footballing story. Dean’s visit highlighted the continued admiration felt across the North East — from Newcastle to Bishop Auckland and beyond.
