Bishop Auckland Rugby Union Football Club is celebrating a major achievement as two of its rising stars, James Holliday and Ben Hunt, have been selected to represent England Rugby North U20s, and of course we extra excited and proud as Ben is our nephew.
The club announced the honours with a striking graphic showcasing both players alongside England Rugby North officials, marking a proud moment for the BARUFC community. Holliday and Hunt will compete against England London & South East, a fixture that highlights some of the strongest young talent in the country.
Club representatives say the entire organisation is “immensely proud” of the pair, praising their dedication, development, and impact both on and off the pitch. The achievement adds to Bishop Auckland RUFC’s long-standing tradition of nurturing standout rugby talent since its founding in 1976.
